.........thus melted my voice into the thin traffic that whistled past by.
Somu was to stop his bike next to a mobile recharge shop so as to let me recharge my Vodafone for talktime. While driving, his cellphone was ringing continuously, someone was calling him may be for some important matter. He didn't care to stop the bike and attend it. The caller called him 4 times but he remained unresponsive to all the calls. Somu was wondering why I didn't ask my usual question,
"Dont' your girlfriend have any other work than calling you 24x7?", and thinking thus he didn't attend the call. Somu was nearing a junction and asked,
"Where is that recharge store?". He didn't get any answer from me and turned back over his shoulder.
About half an hour back Somu picked me up after I was finished honing my skills of luck in the Pool room (I was potting balls after balls :D ). I asked him to stop nearby a bakery to let me buy some drinks (Somu and I are partners in drinking -
Slice and
Mazaa). I bought a litre of New Slice, gulped down a few mL and so did Somu.
He started his bike and sped away. Yes he just sped away........leaving me behind :-| while a cry "Somuuuu..." just escaped from my mouth.
He did come back after all to pick me up after I trod down about 150 m down the road.
This incident did raise some serious questions about Somu's sanity :D and also me being in the light-weight category of boxing.
PS: The last time I came home, my father too left me behind but he was quick to see that I wasn't seated behind :).
