Its been another night out today when there is no exam the next day and also when the studies for the next exam hasn't started. The night out as always was unplanned.....all night spend on surfing and reading through pages on the internet and playing 'Triumph' on 'phase'-book ;).....while my neighbours were playing marathon sessions of AoE(age of empires)....still don't know what is so attractive and addictive about that.....How can people get a high on playing those stupid, pigmy humans on a computer......It doesn't reach anywhere near the all time top on list NFS-need for speed and FIFA...Does it? Never! Whole night the bell would chime from their games......It is indeed fascinating to watch them play.....not them playing, but the run up to the play and after playing.....It takes a minimum of 30 min to anywhere between 1-2 hours for them to decide upon teams, start the game, find fault with the keyboards, restart, go out to catch some mice, again restart, voltage drops, again group teams as by then 1or 2 players must have gone to MC or after their work and finally it starts.....and sound does travel faster that the data through the lan cables.....as its by shouting that people ask for each others help in fighting when a chat box is provided with the game..... and finally the game ends.....it doesn't end when the losers are vanquished but when they resign from the game,,,must be like surrendering in real war :-?..........
And then the post match analysis starts with duration greater than that shown after a cricket match..... and the analysis is well supported by saved feed of the whole game giving an insight into alternate strategies that could have been tried.... I am wondering that whether AoE can be taken as a standard for recruitment in the armed forces by providing a virtual war-like scenario.....
And in most cases armed with the alternate strategies and knowing new tactics of the opponent, it would be call for one more game and the procedure is repeated taking the same, not less, amount of time and everything is repeated, sometimes the game result too ;)
Think every night out is spend watching the night passing away and seeing 10 boring films in search of 1 good film with plans of starting studies always taking a backseat......
**Hungry.....time for breakfast :)
